“Wish ko lang…” – Senator Mar Roxas

In one of the portions of the USAPANG OFW LEADERS FORUM, the Presidential aspirants randomly got questions from a fish bowl. The questions were more personal and entertaining. For Senator Mar Roxas, he was asked “If a fairy godmother were to appear in front of you now, what would be your three wishes?” I was only able to record his first wish, but his other two wishes, especially his last, got the crowd roaring in laughter and amusement. This fish bowl is also where Senator Chiz Escudero got his question and where he gave the “Saging lang ang may puso” line.

SENATOR MAR ROXAS’ FIRST WISH

I strongly agree with his first wish. However I don’t think that President Arroyo will suddenly change overnight but at least she’s leaving her predecessor with an economically resilient country. Like what some of my friends say, GMA is good, but she has bad politics.

I’m not 100% sure about his second wish but it ran along the lines of the Filipino people having better lives. That was a truly a beauty pageant answer right there. His third wish though got the crowd so “kilig”. He goes on and says – and I quote:

“Sana bukas na kasal namin ni Korina.”

Yun lang. Hahaha! The good Senator is really squeezing all the political mileage he can get from his engagement with the veteran newscaster. I’m sure some are frowning upon this but I think majority find it cute and romantic. Personally, I hope he strikes a balance. If it gets too exposed, it gets old quickly.

For your entertainment, I’m embedding the video of the two when they re-enacted their proposal in the noontime show, Wowowee.

The moment you see Korina in his political ads, that’s the time you should worry.
