“It doesn’t mean that they are no longer our friends, if ever they indeed committed the crime.” Hearing those words come out of the mouth of Presidential Deputy Spokesperson Lorelei Fajardo almost made me vomit. I just can’t understand why our President, someone who’s supposed to be of high moral standing, our guiding light, our leader, could keep criminals as close friends. In the words of nerds and geeks all over the world – THIS DOES NOT COMPUTE. It has “error” and “disaster” written all over it and this issue will probably be the last nail in the coffin for the bid of Gilbert Teodoro for the Presidency.
Here’s an excerpt from the article on Inquirer:
“I don’t think the President’s friendship with the Ampatuans will be severed,” Lorelei Fajardo, her deputy spokesperson, told reporters Thursday in Filipino. “Just because they’re in this situation doesn’t mean we will turn our backs on them.”
Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr., a son and namesake of the governor of Maguindanao, is the prime suspect in what has been described as the worst election-related violence in the Philippines.
But Director Andres Caro of the Philippine National Police said authorities were not discounting the possible participation of other members of the Ampatuan clan in the mass murder.
Still, Fajardo told reporters at a press briefing in Malacañang, “it doesn’t mean that they are no longer our friends, if ever they indeed committed the crime.”
This is just sooooo beyond logic. No wonder the trust rating of this administration is negative. They are openly admitting that the circle of friends the President keeps is composed of murderers.

Jesus set a bad precedent hanging out with hos and taxmen.
rumor has it that the ampatuans were supposed to be sworn in by the Nacionalista Party. I hope that’s not true. Manny V seems like a good presidential candidate.
oh joy President Frankenstein created a monster. She gave it power and arms. Now it goes out of control and it has to be put down.
Also some rumors going around that a certain quota from BIR directly goes to the palace. Whoever in head of BIR who refuse to cooperate was sent to Mindanao
idk… i have Ampatuan classmates when I was in Highschool (2yrs ago).. and they’re pretty friendly… not ALL Ampatuans are killers.. well. no one can call them “a killer” until proven. >,<
pray for the people who were killed though.
The Martial Law in Mindanao, in my opinion, is simply a turn-over of terroristic enterprise within the same organization. It is a temporary set-up while the branch managers of the enterprise is having a vacation in the jail of the National Bureau of Investigation in Manila…. Ang amuyong pinag-pahinga muna, ang boss na ngayon ang humahawak ng negosyo… Do you know why the incumbent government is so concerned about maintaining “terroristic order” in Maguindanao? It is because it is in that place where counterfeit money and counterfeit election ballots are manufactured… The Ampatuans, for God’s sake, are the Mayors and Governors of that place. They are high-level government officials. They rub elbows with the President and with the Secretary of National Defense. The guns and ammunitions they used, in killing those over 70 innocent people, are from the government arsenal. They have been killing their constituents there for years using chainsaw and government ammunition for various reasons mainly centered on silencing witnesses… Read more at http://petalcorin.blogspot.com/search/label/Maguindanao%20Massacre
